John Geils ~ 71 ~ Guitarist w/The J Geils Band, Bluesy R&R Band from Massachusetts in the 1970's and 80's. Started out as a garagey blues band in 1968 and had some success in the 1970's as a respected touring band with some minor hits (mostly R&B covers like "First I Look At The Purse", "Serves You Right To Suffer" "I Do", "Land Of 1000 Dances" and "Where Did Our Love Go") but later had major hits in the 1980's with "Love Stinks", "Centerfold", "Freeze Frame" and "Angel In Blue" before suddenly breaking up in 1983-85. There were reunions in the 2000's until Geils either quit or was was kicked out of the band resulting in lawsuits.
